Corio Waste Management cemented its place among the best of the best in Geelong businesses by winning the Health Promoting Workplace Category at the prestigious Geelong Business Excellence Awards announced in August.
The company took out the award ahead of five other businesses, and was also named a finalist in the Sustainable Business and Accessible Business award categories. According to CEO of Corio Waste Management Mat Dickens, winning the Barwon Health sponsored ‘Health Promoting Workplace’ was testament to and recognition of Corio Waste Management’s commitment to supporting and working with its people.
“Our success is due to our employees and we thought we should enter the awards because we believe that the achievements of our people deserve recognition and reward. We are committed to a workplace where our people are provided with everything they need to do their work well, including a Driver Development Program and Employee Assistance Program,” Mr Dickens said.
Established in 1986, the Geelong Business Excellence Awards recognise organisations that achieve business excellence in the Geelong region. They are one of the most prestigious business awards programs in Australia.
